Now that Moon Knight is taking the spotlight as the MCU's latest project in the streaming service Disney+, Oscar Isaac's Steven Grant and his other identities are now at the top of the mind of every Marvel fan. Following rumors swirling around that Mark Ruffalo's Hulk will appear in the series, another renowned actor was spotted on Moon Knight's production, and fans think that the actor is also going to make a cameo in the new Disney+ series.
A hilarious viral photo surfaced online featuring Moon Knight lead star Oscar Isaac together with the show's villain, Ethan Hawke. However, one actor in the picture is no other than Willem Dafoe or the Green Goblin of the MCU. The photo was reportedly taken during the filming of Moon Knight, which sparks speculation that Dafoe might make an appearance in Oscar Isaac's new series.
Willem Dafoe recently reprised his role as Norman Osborn a.ka. Green Goblin in last year's MCU box office milestone, Spiderman: No Way Home. Now that Dafoe is back in his Green Goblin mantle, is it a come-and-gone deal or is he officially coming back to the MCU for more future projects?
Following the viral photo, fans are wondering if Dafoe will make a cameo in the Disney+ series.
As much as we like to see Willem Dafoe as Norman Osborn in Moon Knight, at this point, this is very unlikely. Norman Osborn is currently in Sony's Spider-Man universe slate, and Moon Knight exists in the MCU as an origin story. Moon Knight also takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame, which means that the No Way Home multiversal incident hasn't happened yet.
However, Dafoe could still be on Moon Knight, or maybe he just visited the production while filming the series. Oscar Isaac and Willem Dafoe are friends and as seen in the photo, looks like the three very much clicked.
While we have no confirmations yet about Willem Dafoe's cameo in the series, we can catch up with Moon Knight Episodes 1 and 2, now streaming in Disney+.
