After weeks of anticipation, the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard defamation trial has finally reached its end. The Pirates of the Caribbean star ended up victorious in the multi-million dollar defamation lawsuit he filed against his ex-wife and star of the Aquaman franchise.
As per the Associated Press, jury members sided with Depp and found the Hollywood icon should be awarded $10.35 million in damages. Meanwhile, Heard should receive $2 million for winning her counterclaim but clearly, that wasn't enough for the actress who immediately took to Twitter after the verdict was announced.
On the social media platform, Johnny Depp's fans are very pleased with how the verdict turned out and rejoiced as the "truth" finally unfolded. Now that the dust has finally settled, I think we can all agree that things aren't going to look good for Amber Heard's career moving forward and it would be safe to assume that her future in the world of acting, as well as her other endeavors are going down the drain.
As for Depp, thankfully, the truth finally prevailed and now that the actor's name has been cleared, hopefully, it means that he will finally be able to bounce back and not only take his career back, but his life as well. Here's to hoping we've seen the last of this issue.
