Extraction 2 Release Date, Spoilers, Trailer & Everything We Know So Far

Netflix's Extraction was one of the biggest movies the streaming app released back in 2020. We all knew there was going to be Extraction 2; firstly, because it was one of the best action films released last year; and secondly, the ending was too much of a cliffhanger for us to just not get closure.

Chris Hemsworth took it to himself announcing the trailer of Extraction 2. The Avengers actor attended Netflix's Tudum streaming event where he shared his thoughts about the second installment of the nitty-gritty action film. He said:

"If you thought our first film pushed the limits, wait until you see what Sam and I have planned for this next installment," Hemsworth said.

If you have not seen the first Extraction movie, it follows Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth) who is a black-ops mercenary who was given the task to extract a kidnapped Ovi, who is a son of an Indian drug lord. At the end of the movie, Hemsworth's character took a bullet to the neck whilst protecting Ovi still, he then was shown to have fallen from the bridge where the shooting happened with no assurance that he is still alive.

For the past year, no details of the plot of Extraction 2 were revealed. However, it seems like the movie will be out soon and the tea is being spilled. According to reports, Hemsworth will still be saving lives and keeping them safe.

It's believed that, in Extraction 2, Hemsworth will be infiltrating a prison and extracting the wife and son of a Georgian gang leader. He then will take them to Australia, where the action will continue.

Furthermore, the distance between Georgia and Australia is a lot, which means there will be a lot of thrilling scenes in between these countries. We can't wait for Chris Hemsworth to reprise his role as Tyler Rake in Extraction 2.

The date for the release of Extraction 2 is yet to be revealed. During the Tudum event, no hint whatsoever was divulged, but fans are waiting for good news. It seems like with the year almost ending, we might get the film by December 2021. Either way, whether it is next year or this year, we will still watch it.
