Showrunners Robert and Michelle King promise that Evil Season 4 won't disappoint. The new season will pick up right after Leland's diabolical plan to bring about the antichrist is set in motion.
Leland has implanted Kristen's egg in a surrogate, and the bundle of joy is ready to be born. But as it turns out, fatherhood is more of a horror than hatching the antichrist.
Evil Season 4: Fatherhood is the Real Horror
Michael Emerson, who plays Leland, said that his character's ultimate goal is to recruit more demons. So, while he juggles with fatherhood, Leland has bigger fish to fry.
But showrunner Robert King teases that Evil Season 4 will take a more "normal route" with the horror aspect, bringing the mundane horror of fatherhood to the forefront. "Babies are nightmare enough," he says, "you don't need lightning and thunder and all that."

Kristen's Messy Home Life Continues
While Leland takes care of his demonic baby, Kristen deals with her own messy home life. Her husband, Andy, is still brainwashed, her mother, Sheryl, is under demonic influence, and her daughter suddenly wants to become a nun.
Kristen's work-life balance is also in shambles as she takes on cases with her colleagues David and Ben. The cases, according to Robert King, will explore the limits of science and the "uncanny" that makes us feel "not perfectly at home in the world."

Uncertainty Looms Over the Future of Evil
Evil Season 4 promises plenty of crazy supernatural developments and, at times, humorous situations. However, there is uncertainty about how the season will ultimately play out as the production was shut down due to the ongoing WGA strike. But fans can rest easy knowing that Evil will return to Paramount+ later in the summer of 2023.
Evil Season 4 will explore a more down-to-earth type of horror, delving into the chaos of parenthood while Leland tries to hatch his evil plan. Fans will have to wait and see what the future holds for Evil, but one thing is sure: it will be worth the wait.
