After months of speculation and anticipation from the comic book film fandom, Warner Bros. Pictures finally released the deleted scene from Matt Reeves' The Batman featuring Barry Keoghan as the Joker, and to say that it broke the internet is an understatement.

The five-minute teaser which sees an intense interrogation scene between Batman and his biggest arch-nemesis has long been rumored to be part of the film. However, for reasons still unbeknownst to many, WB decided to pull the scene from the final cut of the DC blockbuster.

Barry's involvement in the film has been a mystery for so long but Reeves previously confirmed that he's in fact playing the Clown Prince of Crime. Now, as fans are still trying to digest that horrific Joker reveal, the Irish actor, who previously starred in Marvel Studios' Eternals is finally breaking his silence on his casting.

Taking to his official Instagram account, Keoghan extended his gratitude to the folks who made his casting possible. He also said that he's blessed to play the part after the likes of Jack Nicholson, Heath Ledger, and Jared Leto brought life to the iconic villain.

Of course, it's hard to judge Barry's performance with just one clip but I gotta say, this version has got to be the most disturbing, not to mention most grotesque live-action take on the character we've seen to date and if this is the Joker we'll see in the Batverse, it's already safe to say that we're in for a treat. They also successfully captured the Batman-Joker dynamic which I'm totally thrilled about.

The Batman continues to perform extremely well at the box office.
