None other than the leader of the Eternals herself, Thena as portrayed by one of the biggest names in Hollywood, Angelina Jolie, commended the film for being true to the commitment of Marvel to giving diversity and representation in the film industry.

Angelina Jolie shared the reason why she said yes to the project and it is because of Marvel expanding the way superheroes are personified on the big screen. Jolie expressed that the cast came from a variety of races which keeps the promise of diversity on film.

Jolie added that she supports the vision of director Chloé Zhao for the Eternals. Zhao recently received praises from Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige for having the best pitch that Marvel has had in years.

Jolie also said that although she did not imagine her forties as a superhero in a gold bodysuit, she happily boarded the project.

Marvel Cinematic Universe will be having in the Eternals the first openly gay couple with Brian Tyree Henry's Phastos and his husband in a happily married life. MCU will also have its first-ever deaf hero with Lauren Ridloff's Makkari, the fastest woman in the universe.

Along with the abovementioned cast for the Eternals are Gemma Chan as Sersi, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Kit Harrington as Dane Whitman, and Barry Keoghan as Druig.

Marvel's Eternals is slated for a theatrical release on November 5, 2021.
