Elvira star Cassandra Peterson talked about how good of a man Brad Pitt was after letting a century-old, widowed man live in his former sprawling Los Angeles home without paying anything.

Pitt purchased the 1.9-acre Los Feliz, California, property from Peterson in 1994. Since then, Angelina Jolie’s ex-husband let the man stay on his land until he died at 105 years old.

The Kindness of Brad Pitt

In an interview with People, the actress revealed how kind the Fight Club star was to the older man.

“[This man’s] wife passed away, and the husband, John, lived there. I know that Brad allowed him to live there without paying anything until he died,” she said. “He was very, very kind to the husband.”

According to Peterson, the arrangement began when Pitt started buying the neighboring properties whenever they became up for sale.

“I think there were like 22 houses that were contiguous to the edge of the property,” the 71-year-old added. “And every time they came up, he bought one.”

One of the properties the 59-year-old actor eyed was owned by the elderly man, who was already in his early 90s.

When the house hit the market, Pitt struck a deal with Jon, letting him stay in his home without rent when he made the purchase.

Cassandra Peterson Finds Brad Pitt ‘Always Kind and Sweet’

After she sold him her property, Peterson and Pitt became neighbors after she bought a house next door. They occasionally exchanged and described him as “always kind and sweet.”

In one instance, she caught him preparing for his 1999 movie Fight Club when she was walking her dogs down the street.

"I go past Brad's garage and he's in there wearing only sweatpants. He's got on boxing gloves and he is punching a bag. I swear I almost fainted,” The Munsters star recalled. "I remember he goes, 'Hey, how are you?' and I'm like, 'Huh?' I couldn't talk. I was turning red. I felt like I was fainting. He's just so stunningly, stunningly handsome — and nice, to top it off."

Pitt’s house in question was already sold in an off-market deal last month for $40 million. It was the home where he and Jolie raised their six kids, Maddox, 21; Pax, 19; Zahara, 18; Shiloh, 16; and 14-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne before they called it quits in 2016.
