Elizabeth Olsen is a versatile actress. Despite her stellar catalog of movies and series, she is best known for her portrayal of Wanda Maximoff, aka Scarlet Witch, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
So far, she has appeared in six Marvel movies plus her Disney+ series WandaVision. Given that Marvel is a superhero franchise, action scenes are inevitable. And now, the Love and Death star has revealed she does most of her MCU stunts.
“There is one in 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' where I had to be dropped from 30 feet up and land. They wanted to drop me pretty quickly so that it looked like it had an impact, but I kept landing like Peter Pan, kind of like fencing?” recalled Olsen.
She continued, “I was like, 'Just use the double. This is so ridiculous — there is a double for a reason. Like, face replacement. They do it all the time. And they used it. In the movie, I'm landing and I look like Peter Pan. I look like I'm fencing. It's ridiculous.”

“I didn't do all of them, but I did most of them, which is a waste of everyone's time because a stunt double does it so much better.” Olsen clarified.
The Oldboy star also admitted that she hasn’t screened any scripts for new Scarlet Witch content, but she hopes to be back in more MCU projects in the future.
Marvel Studios, like any other Hollywood studio, makes extensive use of stunt doubles. One of the best-known doubles in the MCU is Charlie Cox's Daredevil stuntman, Christopher Brewster. Even if Cox is returning for a sequel, his double has been replaced by somebody new.
In February, Brewster revealed that Marvel refused to have him back as Cox’s double. According to him, the company wouldn’t even let him interview for the job, which disappointed and saddened the fans.
Even if doubles should do their jobs, it’s quite amazing to know that Olsen is very much involved in her stunts, which makes her lovely in the eyes of the fans, even if for her, it’s ridiculous to do that.
