After a two-year absence brought upon by the COVID-19 pandemic, San Diego Comic-Con is finally returning to the grand stage and there's no doubt that fans are ready for the surprises and announcements that are coming. On the MCU side of things, Marvel Studios is confirmed for a panel appearance and while the anticipation is at an all-time high for the franchise's upcoming slate, the project fans seem most fascinated by is the solo Scarlet Witch film.
Rumor has it that Wanda Maximoff is finally getting her own movie and according to tipsters, it's set to be announced at the Marvel Studios SDCC panel. Actress Elizabeth Olsen has previously claimed that she's still uncertain about her MCU future but seeing as the Scarlet Witch seemingly "faked" her death in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, all signs point to her eventual comeback.
Now, with SDCC kicking off the festivities, fans of the beloved Marvel character have "hijacked" the geek extravaganza by launching their own celebration that is centered on the Harbinger of Chaos. In fact, "WandaCon" has been trending on Twitter over the last couple of days as fans await major announcements regarding her future.
