Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Teases the Buu Saga and Confirms Great Saiyaman in Latest Trailer

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is looking like the game many of us have dreamed of, letting us relive the adventures of Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, and the rest of the Z Fighters. Most of us knew that it would go past the Frieza Saga into the Cell Saga but we weren't sure about the Buu Saga, at least until Goku's voice actor spoiled that little fact. This little spoiler has now been confirmed by Bandai Namco, thanks to a new trailer teasing it.

The trailer starts with us seeing some amazing moments from early Dragon Ball Z, like Goku and Raditz taking Piccolo's Special Beam Cannon (Makankosappo if you're a weeb), The Ginyu Force making their debut, Goku becoming a Super Saiyan, and Gohan finally killing Cell with the Father-Son Kamehameha.

We then cut to seven years later and the greatest character to ever grace Dragon Ball makes his Kakarot debut.

That's right, The Great Saiyaman is shown, doing his ridiculous pose. We then see a smash cut of moments from the Buu Saga, like Goku's return, Babidi up to no good, and Majin Vegeta's heartbreaking sacrifice. The trailer ends with our first shot of Majin Buu before saying "to be continued," even though we all know that Buu's other forms are going to wreak havoc.

Honestly, I just can't wait to roam the city as Great Saiyaman. He's always been one of the more fun aspects to Gohan's character (spoilers?) and beating up criminals with him should be a ton of fun. I'm still bummed that Goku ends up saving the day but that's just how Akira Toriyama works.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is coming out on January 17 for PS4 and Xbox One.
