Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Reveals San Diego Comic-Con Booth & Statues


San Diego Comic-Con 2022 is happening later this month, with the major event in the world of pop culture not just featuring comic books and adaptations, but also covering major anime titles such Mobile Suit Gundam: Witch From Mercury, and of course, Dragon Ball Super. Akira Toriyama's popular shonen franchise will surely celebrate the event with a panel for its latest film, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero and there's a booth filled with exclusive merchandise and life-sized statues.

Dragon Ball's official website shared new images of the movie's upcoming San Diego Comic-Con booth, along with statues of Son Gohan, Piccolo, Gamma 1 and Gamma 2, and various exclusives that fans attending the event might want to check out with new figures of Goku, Majin, Buu, and other Z-Fighters.

Toei Animation will likely share more previews for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero at the event. While many fans in Japan have already seen the movie when it was released in theaters on June 11, the rest of the world will have to wait this summer. The film will focus on Gohan, Piccolo, and the other Z-Fighters' conflict against the newly-revived Red Ribbon Army, the criminal organization originally introduced in Dragon Ball more than three decades ago.

Many fans are also hoping that the team behind Dragon Ball Super will announce a new season for the TV series, which wrapped in 2018, but at this point, it's still unclear what the future plans for the franchise are.

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero won't arrive in U.S. theaters until August 19. Crunchyroll already shared the official theatrical release dates for other regions.

The San Diego Comic-Con 2022 will take place from July 21 to 24.
