The Dragon Ball Super may be sleeping right now, but the anime franchise will be making a huge comeback with the release of the next feature film Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero next year. Toei Animation will be hosting a panel at NYCC this Thursday, and the team already shared a teaser for it. Now, a new poster featuring two new characters has been revealed to hype up fans for the event.
Over on Twitter, user DBSHype shared a photo of the promotional poster of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, and it Goku, Picollo, and two mysterious new characters that were first revealed during the anime's San Diego Comic-Con panel last July.

Both of the new characters are gentle aliens, each with a number on their clothing (1 and 2). #1 looks like a serious guy while #2 looks like a gentle alien. They could be brothers, but it's unknown if they are the villains of the shonen film. It's likely that we will find out more about these characters during Thursday's NYCC panel at the Main Stage. Uchida noted in the teaser that there will be "heaps" of new information about the film, and we will update you here on Epicstream about that.

The panel will kick-off at 12:30 - 1:30 PM EST and the official Dragon Ball website will provide real-time updates from the event. According to the NYCC panel's description, the special guests are Akio Iyoku (editor for Akira Toriyama/executive producer of Dragon Ball series) and Norihiro Hayashida (producer of TV animation and films for Dragon Ball series including Dragon Ball Super: BROLY). Voice actors Ian Sinclair and Monica Rial are also expected to be at the panel.
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is set to release in theaters in 2022, but exact release dates may vary depending on the region.
