Dragon Ball Super Chapter 82, Bardock vs. Gas, is almost here, and if you've been keeping up with the draft previews, you'd already know about the familiar Universe 7 warrior who will be involved in the Goku vs. Gas fight. In the previous chapter, we saw Goku use Instant Transmission to lure Gas away from the injured Granolah in planet Cereal, and now, it looks like Goku has brought their battle into a place where Monaka is.
For those unfamiliar, Monaka is the red humanoid deliveryman/alien from the planet of Wagashi, and he was first introduced in the Universe 6 Saga, which saw him joining Universe 7's team in a tournament against Champa's Universe 6 team. Monaka is described to be an amateur fighter who's used as a motivation for Goku and Vegeta.
Earlier this week, we already saw a draft page featuring Monaka trapping Gas in concrete to aid Goku in the fight against the "Strongest Warrior in the Universe", but now, another leak shared on Twitter reveals Monaka sending Gas flying after hitting him.
Monaka is usually seen as a comic relief character who surprisingly won his tournament battle against Hit because Hit pretended to have been damaged by the attack and flew out of the ring, so seeing him inflict damage on Gas is pretty surprising. However, it's unlikely that he alone will be able take Gas down.
The upcoming chapter also promises another look at the Bardock vs. Gas fight 40 years ago. We might also see more of the Heeters' grand plan. It's likely that the Granolah the Survivor Arc is approaching its end, but we might see a bigger conflict ahead.
