Dragon Ball GT is Getting a New Anime Comic Adaptation

Dragon Ball GT is often looked at as a mistake, with many hoping that it will no longer be canon now that Dragon Ball Super is introducing concepts that make the events of GT impossible. That might seem like the smart thing to do but it looks like the series lives on in the weirdest way possible; as an anime comic from Saikyo Jump.

As fans have pointed out online, this isn't all-new art or manga but is simply stills from the anime and rearranged so that it looks more like a comic book. While Saiko Jump has wrapped up the Evil Dragons arc, they will now be covering the very first arc, which they haven't done before. The first arc was much lighter since it attempted to recapture the adventure-like elements of the original Dragon Ball, though most people who've seen it will say that it failed.

Still, the fact that these anime-still comics exist prove that Dragon Ball GT does have fans. The series does have a number of defenders and some will even say that it's better than Super, though that is often left up to debate. Still, fans are hoping for a time jump that will make GT not canon and will finally focus on newer characters like Uub and Broly.

Dragon Ball GT is now available on DVD. Goku from GT was recently released as a DLC character for Dragon Ball FighterZ.
