Viewers get to see intense scenes as Dr. Romantic 3 episode 2 features Han Suk Kyu’s struggle to keep the trauma center up and running.

The weekend K-drama follows the story of the legendary surgeon named Kim Sa Bu, who chose to work in a shabby hospital in the countryside called Doldam, along with his former colleagues.

This is also where he meets the new blood who then became his trainees, which includes Seo Woo Jin and Cha Eun Jae, portrayed by Ahn Hyo Seop and Lee Sung Kyung.

In the SBS medical K-drama, viewers witness drama and heartfelt moments between the doctors and their patients.

Dr. Romantic 3 Episode 2 Viewership

After scoring a successful premiere with a double-digit rating, Dr. Romantic 3 episode 2 once again delivered a show stopping episode after the show garnered a nationwide average rating of 13.8 percent.

It is a major increase from its pilot episode of 12.7 percent.

It is safe to say that Han Suk Kyu’s drama will continue to receive major achievements, not just in viewership ratings but also overwhelming praise from the audience.

The second episode began with a surprising cameo by Extraordinary Attorney Woo cast members Joo Jong Hyuk, Ha Yoon Kyung, and Joo Hyun Young, who appeared as applicants at Doldam Hospital.

It’s for the expansion of the hospital after establishing the trauma center.

Meanwhile, the North Korean patients are still at Doldam, with Seo Woo Jin closely monitoring the man who barely survived the surgery, but thankfully he gets transferred to a hospital just in the nick of time.

As for his junior colleague, Jang Dong Hwa, the nurse struggled to locate him, who has been MIA since the emergency.

At one point, the episode featured Dong Hwa being focused on playing video games. On the other hand, the military doctor, Lee Seon Wung, harbors a completely different attitude towards the patients.

Moreover, he is fascinated by how Kim Sa Bu does the operation despite the limited resources.

One of the highlights in Dr. Romantic 3 episode 2, is Cha Eun Jae’s relationship with her father.

After choosing what was right over her family, Dr. Cha Jin Man was disappointed at her daughter’s decision to turn her back on her brother, causing a gap between their relationship as father and daughter.

Trying to console his girlfriend, Seo Woo Jin attempts to cheer up Cha Eun Jae. Season 3 hints at more sweet moments between the rest of the couple.

As for Kim Sa Bu, he faced a critical situation after the trauma center lost electricity, causing an interruption in the operation.

Thankfully, he was able to continue his surgery despite the setback.

The same goes for Lee Seon Wung, who gets praised by the Doldam director for stepping up amid the crisis.

Interestingly, the latter part of the episode also featured the return of Dr. Bae Moon Jung and Dr. Yoon Ah Reum.

However, at this point, viewers speculate if Dr. Yoon and Dr. Bae have relationship, rising question about her romance with Nurse Park.
