Doom Patrol Star Matt Bomer Hints At Robotman And Crazy Jane Romance

Fans may have noticed that Crazy Jane and Robotman have a close relationship in Doom Patrol. Not surprisingly, Matt Bomer has just teased at the possibility that the two will eventually get romantic in the DC Universe series.

Bomer recently spoke to Collider about working on the show and the unusual dynamic in the group. The White Collar actor revealed that fans who think Crazy Jane and Cliff Steele are a little too close, they may be right.

"I think Crazy Jane and Robotman have a borderline romance. It's not really just a friendship. Obviously, there are circumstantial bits that may prevent it from ever being consummated, but I don't know because Dr. Niles Caulder is pretty creative. It just seems to be a great romance. It's a meet-cute, awkward, he said/she said, I love you/I hate you situation, and it's so perfectly written because any one of her personalities can come up, at any time, to basically say, 'Fuck you,' and walk away," Bomer said.

But who is Negative Man closest to in the series? According to Bomer, it's the one member he's had to deal with for several decades.

"In terms of the team, the person Larry is closest to is Rita," he admitted. "He seems to really innately understand her. He has a good beat on who she is, what her history is, and what kind of pain and pathos she carries around with her, and he has a real empathy and connection with her. Of all the people there, she probably has a good understanding of who he is and what he may be hiding."

Of course, we already know what Larry Trainor is hiding. Nevertheless, it's great to know that Bomer also agrees with everyone on Crazy Jane and Robotman being a great couple.

Doom Patrol airs every Friday nights on DC Universe.
