Earlier this year, HBO Max pulled the plug on Titans and Doom Patrol. Although both DC shows were given an ample amount of time to write their own proper series finale deemed fit to end their show, many fans are quite distraught about the news.
However, if we consider how Doom Patrol Season 4 is set to end, this could pan out as yet another season for renewal at HBO Max.
Will There Be a Doom Patrol Season 5? Has the DC Show Been Renewed?
As of writing, no, HBO Max has yet to retract their statement on canceling Doom Patrol after its four seasons of running on the streamer.
No official announcements confirmed if we'll get to see the misfits back on the small screens for a fifth season.
It remains to be seen whether the success of Season 4's Part 2 will bring the iconic DC heroes back onto the small screens for another go, this time with Doom Patrol Season 5, but here's what the HBO Max spokesperson, as reported by Deadline:
"While these will be the final seasons of Titans and Doom Patrol, we are very proud of these series and excited for fans to see their climactic endings. We are grateful to Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television for making such thrilling, action-packed, heartfelt series. For four seasons, fans have fallen in love with the Titans and Doom Patrol, investing in their trials and tribulations and in their legendary battles saving the world time and time again."
Since DC Studios' co-CEO James Gunn has been left in charge of how the DCU franchise goes, many fans pointed out he could be one of the reasons behind the cancellations. However, he was quick to address his piece in the tweet below:
His tweet reads: "The decision to end the series precedes us. But I certainly wish the best for the talented group of creators, actors, and the rest of the crew that produced both shows."
