James Rhodes might be one of the more serious characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but there is little doubt that he's still got an awesome sense of humor. However, one fan pointed out that Rhodey wasn't exactly that funny in Avengers: Endgame. Not surprisingly, Don Cheadle has an epic response to the diss.
A Marvel fan recently trolled Cheadle on Twitter by stating that, "your jokes in Avengers Endgame sucked." The Avengers: Infinity War star made sure the fan didn't have the last say by dropping an awesome response. Check it out below.
It's a hilarious answer that's also an MCU reference. In Avengers: Age of Ultron, Rhodey kept trying to tell a story about War Machine's adventures and kept getting lukewarm reactions from his fellow heroes. He would later tell the story to some civilians who had the proper reaction.
Come to think of it, Rhodey had some of the best oneliners in Endgame. For instance, there was his reaction to seeing Star-Lord for the first time. You can watch it below.
For now, we're still not sure what the future holds for Cheadle's character after the events in Endgame. Some fans are hoping that we'll see more of War Machine in action in the upcoming MCU films but there haven't been any updates about Rhodey just yet. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
Cheadle is expected to appear in Space Jam 2, which is currently being filmed and is scheduled for release on July 16, 2021.
