Is Utena Really Evil in Gushing Over Magical Girls?
In the beginning, Utena Hiiragi was just a decent, average girl who idolized the Tres Magia, similar to other girls her age. She wants to become like them and experience how it feels to transform into a cute, magical girl.
In fact, she doesn’t have any ill feelings toward them at all. Instead, Utena is crazy about them to the extent that she’s willing to blow her allowance to buy their merchandise.
Whenever Utena sees the Tres Magia fighting the evil organization of Enormita, she supports them in any way she can.
But within Utena lies a twisted personality, which the evil mascot Venalita takes advantage of.
Venalita manipulated Utena to become a sadist villainess by unlocking all the shackles that hold her twisted heart. Venalita even had to lie to Utena to gain her cooperation.
The evil mascot turns the story around, saying that the Tres Magia are being manipulated by evil mascots who are out to kill their kind. And it is up to Utena to save Tres Magia!
Because Utena is a very gullible girl, she believes Venalita’s lies. Since then, Utena has become Magia Baiser of the evil organization Enormita, showing her true colors toward the Tres Magia.
Does Utena Turn Good and Quit From Enormita in Gushing Over Magical Girls?
There were a lot of times when Utena wanted to quit being Magia Baiser in Gushing Over Magical Girls.
Still, Utena never quit her villainous role and instead began to embrace it the more she harassed the Tres Magia.
Utena is even the current leader of the evil organization in the manga series!
Her lust to see the new side of her darling Tres Magia is what motivates her to do the job.
She wants to continue seeing a stronger, even cuter side to them, in addition to making them writhe and squeal in suffering.
Utena just can’t hold back on her evil deeds whenever she transforms, even though she knows that they are wrong.
She may think that she loves the magical girls, but in reality, her feelings are just a twisted delight from watching them suffer.
