LOONA Chuu recently sparked rumors that she might have an eating disorder.
Nearly five years after LOONA debuted, Chuu continues to receive the most attention from fans. She was the 10th member to be introduced to the fans and has since debuted as a soloist and a member of the group's sub-unit, LOONA/yyxy.
However, she recently turned people's heads due to a different reason.

LOONA Chuu Reportedly Reveals Her Health Issue
The preview of the upcoming episode of Dr. Oh's Golden Clinic showed the idol at the beginning as she flaunted her signature smile. But a few moments later, she disclosed that she was struggling with an eating disorder that even led her to be hospitalized.

"I eat until I can't breathe anymore. When I am stressed out, I do this. I eat until I throw up. I've been to the emergency room because my body stiffed up," she said.
Dr. Oh Eun Young offered help and asked her if she does it to hurt herself, but she said she currently fears and feels stressed about something. She tried holding back her tears when the expert talked about the potential cause of her negative feelings, leading fans to feel concerned about her.
LOONA Chuu Addresses Eating Disorder Talks
Following the release of the preview, she shared a post on Instagram where she said she did not have an eating disorder.
The post reads:
"Chuu doesn't have an eating disorder or anorexia. Although in the past I relieved stress by eating spicy foods due to not being able to go out and a busy schedule, now I enjoy sports, hobbies, and talking with close friends. So please don't be concerned and misunderstand. Rather I would be thankful if you encouraged me."
Still, she became an inspiration to her fans, who see her appearance as something that could help those who are struggling with eating issues or mental health disorders.
