Marvel might have lost director Scott Derrickson for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, however, production for the Doctor Strange sequel seems to be scheduled in the same time frame as it originally was, and now a new plot synopsis for the movie has made its way online.
According to a report by Bounding Into Comics, a new synopsis for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has made its way to IMDb, teasing the enemy that seeks to destroy every sorcerer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as well as the arrival of an unspeakable evil.
"After the events of Avengers: Endgame, Dr. Stephen Strange continues his research on the Time Stone," the synopsis reads, "But an old friend turned enemy seeks to destroy every sorcerer on Earth, messing with Strange's plan and also causing him to unleash an unspeakable evil."
The synopsis reveals a whole lot about the Doctor Strange movie. Not only are we going to see Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) continue his research on the Time Stone after the events of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, but we might also get to see other sorcerers in the movie. The Doctor Strange sequel has long since been reported to include Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch, a powerful reality-altering mutant who has worked with Doctor Strange in Marvel comics before.
IMDb is a reputable site, so this new plot synopsis may very well be an authentic description for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set for release on May 5, 2021.
