Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Fan Poster Pays Tribute to Sam Raimi's Evil Dead Films

The Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness movie might be directed by Sam Raimi, and the fans are really hoping that's the case. Raimi's work on Sony's first Spider-Man trilogy and his beloved Evil Dead series make him the perfect candidate for the MCU's first horror movie. Since the movie has been delayed, it's gonna take a while before we see any big promotional material from the sequel, but this fan has decided to give us an awesome poster to keep us thinking.

As fans can see, this horror-centric take on Doctor Strange 2 is clearly a tribute to some of the Evil Dead posters we've seen in the past. This really makes us want to see Raimi work on the next Doctor Strange movie and we're sure he'll do a good job. Here's hoping that the movie has some of his trademarks, minus the screaming women.

Then again, with Scarlet Witch playing a big part in this movie, there's a good chance that she will scream a lot, at least in terms of the "I'm so powerful" archetype that we're all used to from superhero comics. Either way, the combination of Raimi-style horror and the awesome visuals from the first movie should make this an awesome movie theater experience.

Initially slated for a 2021 release, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will now be coming out on March 25, 2022. Thanks for that COVID-19.
