Doctor Strange 2 Villain Could be Introduced in WandaVision

It's been rumored for a while that Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness will have Nightmare as the main villain, but word is coming out that we could see Nightmare in an earlier MCU installment.

As per Murphy's Multiverse, it's been said that the role of Nightmare has already been cast and he's going to be the "true" villain of the upcoming Disney+ show, WandaVision. We don't have any official details on his involvement with the series, but I guess it would make sense seeing that Wanda will have a major role in the Multiverse of Madness.

If you ask me, I would actually like it more if there was no "main villain" for this show. Avengers: Endgame had left Wanda Maximoff in grief, and it would be interesting to see how that manifests in the form of her powers. I guess it would be more relatable if Wanda was able to deal with grief herself, rather than fighting a villain that was the cause of all her misfortune.

If Nightmare were to be involved, I would like it if they just had Wanda watch from afar, and Doctor Strange 2 would deal with him (or based on rumors, her) trying to harness that power for his own gains.

Then again, this is all just based on a rumor. Until Marvel or Disney decides to make some official announcement, all we can really do is wait and see.

Catch WandaVision when it hits Disney+ in the spring of 2021. Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness will come to theaters on May 7, 2021.
