Doctor Strange 2 to Reportedly Include Female Black Panther and Ghost Rider

There's been a lot of news about Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness the past few weeks. Late in January, Marvel announced that it had parted ways with Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson because of creative differences.

Last week, word came out that the studio was trying to tap Spider-Man trilogy director Sam Raimi to take over Derrickson's place as the director of Doctor Strange 2. After that, we learned that Rachel McAdams wouldn't be reprising her role as Christine Palmer.

Now, according to a new report by Cosmic Book News, the mill is busy digging up new rumors for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Word on the street has it that Marvel fans are going to see a female Black Panther and a version of Ghost Rider appear in Doctor Strange 2.

Though these rumors have yet to be confirmed, the publication's sources say that Kevin Feige was once considering bringing a female Ghost Rider, Alejandra Jones, into Doctor Strange 2. However, the Marvel Studios President decided on a last-minute change, replacing the female Ghost Rider with an alternate universe Black Panther played by Letitia Wright.

Ghost Rider may still appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. However, this version of the antihero may be the 1990's Danny Ketch version and one that isn't going to play a major part in the comic book movie.

Though it seems a bit too much for Marvel to bring in this many other characters in the movie, we know that Marvel may choose to bring in as many cameos in Doctor Strange 2 – after all, the film is out to explore the multiverse. So, why not have a female Black Panther and a Danny Ketch Ghost Rider? Let's wait and see.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to premiere on May 5, 2021.
