Doctor Strange 2 Promo Art Reveals New Look at Terrifying Multiverse of Madness Villain

If you've seen the first trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, there's a good chance you got a brief glimpse at the terrifying new villain who will be terrorizing the world this May. Now we have a better look at the scary Big Bad courtesy of the promo art featured in new merchandise for the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel!

The promo art will appear on special Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness t-shirts that are being released soon. While a couple of shirts put the focus on the heroes including Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch, two of the merch are all about Gargantos.

We already know that Gargantos will be tearing up a city in Doctor Strange and has already caused debates on social media over its general appearance. Fans have been discussing how Gargantos was made to look just like Shuma-Gorath, the ancient being that had faced off against the Sorcerer Supreme in the comics. However, it has since been confirmed that the creature in the trailer is actually Gargantos.

For now, we only know that Doctor Strange 2 will reveal some problems that the Sorcerer Supreme needs to deal with following the events in Spider-Man: No Way Home. To do so, Stephen Strange will need the help of Wanda Maximoff who appears to be doing well after everything that went down in WandaVision. But will the two manage to bring the Multiverse back to the way it was before? Hopefully, we'll get new details about the sequel soon so stay tuned for more updates on this story.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is directed by Sam Raimi and will star Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Xochitl Gomez. The film is scheduled for release on May 6, 2022.
