Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is already shaping up to be Marvel Studios' craziest offering this year and if the latest rumors and theories surrounding the project are to be believed, it's going to be an even bigger event than Spider-Man: No Way Home. One persistent rumor about the film has something to do with Wanda Maximoff aka the Scarlet Witch who is said to be the film's big bad.

According to reports, Wanda will be the one causing all the "madness" in the multiverse, killing a lot of innocent people in the process. Her villainous turn shouldn't come as a surprise especially if you're aware of her rich comic book history. The trailer for Multiverse of Madness even sparked an interesting theory that Wanda is being corrupted by the Darkhold as seen in her "deteriorating" suit.

Speaking of, Olsen will be sporting an upgraded costume in the sequel which still carries the overall design of the one she donned during the WandaVision finale. In the trailer, we only got a glimpse of her new look during a sequence where she's seemingly performing some kind of a ritual. Now, the latest promo art from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness offers us our best look yet at her menacing new appearance. Check it out here:

Just when you thought WandaVision finally gave her some closure, it looks like Wanda will be on a path of destruction and run roughshod across the multiverse. And with the rumors of her killing a bunch of people in Doctor Strange 2, it'll be interesting to see how Marvel will be able to redeem the former hero from all the mistakes she's committed. Hopefully, it's not going to cost Wanda her own life because that's something I'm not ready for.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hits cinemas on May 6, 2022.
