Renowned as a prodigious Korean surgeon, Dr. Song Jihyun has gained recognition for her remarkable ability to save patients in any condition.
In her previous life as Elise de Clorance, the emperor’s ill-mannered wife, jealousy and greed led to the loss of her loved ones and, ultimately, her demise.
Having been granted a second chance after a fatal plane crash, Elise, armed with modern medical knowledge, is determined to mend past mistakes and serve the empire as a medic.
However, avoiding her engagement to Prince Linden de Romanoff, the man she once loved to the point of her death, poses a dilemma.
Doctor Elise, also known as Doctor Elise: The Royal Lady with the Lamp is a South Korean web novel authored by Yuin.
The web novel was first serialized in Kakao’s KakaoPage from December 2015 to April 2016.
Later, a webtoon adaptation drawn by Mini was released on KakaoPage, which ran from September 2017 to February 2021.

Doctor Elise Web Novel Ending Explained
Doctor Elise ends with 143 chapters. In the penultimate chapter, Elise and Linden prepare to get married.
As the chapter concludes, they are shown exchanging wedding vows with a kiss in the chapel.
Linden and Elise got married, and her endeavors for redemption were acknowledged and immortalized in history.
In Doctor Elise Chapter 143, Song, who is a young medical student, is awakened by her mother. She tells her that they are running late and might miss their flight.
During the chapter, it is revealed that Song was reading Elise’s biography, who also is known as the Mother of Modern Medicine.
Toward the end of the chapter, Song takes a tour of the palace as she wants to know more about Elise.
Finally, she comes across a man who looks like Linden. The man and Song are likely reincarnations of Linden and Elise, respectively.
The final panel is beautiful and heartwarming as it showcases all of Elise's achievements as a medical practitioner.
And finally, the list of achievements ends with a line that reads – “Linden’s Beloved Wife.”
