Disney Plus Reveals Baymax Series Trailer

Baymax is back and he's ready for some new adventures! The first trailer for the Baymax series has just been dropped on Disney+ Day and it offers a glimpse at what our favorite healthcare provider robot has been up to after the events in Big Hero 6!

The new series was originally announced on Disney Investor Day in December 2020. The spin-off show, which is simply titled Baymax!, will follow the healthcare provider robot as he works as a nurse in San Fransokyo. However, it looks like Hiro Hamada's best friend is also finding hilarious ways to help people around him.

The Baymax! trailer opens with the robot introducing himself to an elderly woman who can barely hear him. "Who? Borax?" she asks. That's when he adjusts his own volume, introduces himself again, then declares that the lady needs to do some daily exercise.

That's not the only thing that Baymax has been up to. He's also showing school children how to properly apply Band-Aids and helping Hiro's Aunt Cass around the cafe. However, this new barista might be too much of a perfectionist for a busy coffee shop.

Interestingly, the Baymax! trailer doesn't show any new footage of the other Big Hero 6 characters. Although Hiro shows up at the start of the teaser, it's actually in footage from the movie.

There is little doubt that fans are hoping that Hiro, Go Go, Wasabi, Honey Lemon, and Fred will show up in the spin-off series. Although this has not yet been confirmed, there is a possibility that we'll get to see a Big Hero 6 reunion in the new show. We'll be keeping our fingers crossed for that.

Baymax! has not yet been given an official release date. However, the animated series is expected to premiere on Disney+ by Summer 2022.
