Disney Shows Off 21st Century Fox Ownership, Updates Website Banner Adding Deadpool, The Simpsons, & More

As expected, Disney is officially showing off the fact that they bought 21st Century Fox for $70 Billion dollars. Sure, Hollywood has now lost one of its major production companies and the competition to make better movies has lessened quite a bit, but yay we're getting the Fantastic Four and X-Men in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Totally worth it.

*Ahem*

Disney has decided to flaunt the fact that they own a major part of Hollywood by showing off some of the properties they purchased on their website banner. Along with properties from Marvel and Star Wars, we can now see Avatar (the James Cameron franchise), Deadpool, and The Simpsons. The House of Mouse just wants you to know that they own it and they will own everything else if they get their way.

To be fair, if I spent $70 billion dollars on something, I would probably show it off too.

With the X-Men and Fantastic Four movies likely to be reintegrated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it will be interesting to see what happens to Deadpool and the other franchises mentioned above. James Cameron did say that filming for the Avatar sequels was going well, though we haven't seen any trailers yet. The Simpsons will likely remain in its current position since it is a household name, despite the show's quality dropping in recent years.
