One of the most important aspects of the Star Wars universe is the use of technology in making stories much more compelling to the audience. This has been one of the many things that George Lucas has mastered, which is also a technique applied very well in The Mandalorian series.

Speaking to The Star Wars Show, Disney CEO Bob Iger details the core values that were applied in the hit series The Mandalorian, one of which is the use of technology. "I can't think of a better example of someone who did that than George Lucas," he said. "For instance, using technology to tell a better story."

Iger also explained that they ought to use technology to "distribute" their content to the audience in "more effective" and "compelling ways," which is essentially making it "satisfying" for the people. "I think Disney+ speaks great volumes about both of those," he added.

He also likened Lucas' effective use of technology to The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau. "First of all, we have great faith in Jon," he admitted. Iger had faith in Favreau not just as a storyteller, but also as a storyteller like Lucas, where he knows how to incorporate technology for "the good" of his stories and of the audience.

It seems like most Star Wars fans will agree with Iger's thoughts on Favreau having a similar skill with Lucas himself. This is because his Disney+ series is clearly a hit amongst the viewers, and clearly has a bright future ahead of it. With the addition of the adorable character Baby Yoda, it is evident that Favreau is using technology effectively in his work.
