Disney CEO Bob Iger Turns Into Thanos After Fox Acquisition In New Marvel Fan Art

Earlier this week Disney completed its acquisition of 21st Century Fox and the studio's film and television assets While most fans celebrate the arrival of X-Men into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, others express concern over Disney's ballooning figure.

Now, taking to social media after the completion of the Disney/Fox deal, fans have started posting all sorts of memes about the Mickey Mouse House's growing size. One even went as far as editing a photo of The Walt Disney Chief Executive Officer and President Bob Iger as the new Thanos of the Hollywood industry. The meme has been making the rounds on Reddit, and it looks a number of others couldn't agree more with the post.

"Fun isn't something one considers when conquering the media industry. But this...does put a smile on my face" the post reads, using Thanos' (Josh Brolin) little speech in Avengers: Infinity War to comment on Disney's merger.

The line perfectly fits with the Mickey Mouse House and its deal with Fox. Marvel first had Pixar, Lucasfilm, and Marvel at its disposal – all high earning studios that produce massively successful films. Now, Disney has Fox too. It's hard not to imagine Iger building an empire with so many studios in its hands.

Of course, this isn't necessarily a bad thing. For Marvel fans, the acquisition means the arrival of the X-Men and the Fantastic Four in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For Star Wars fans, it means the possibility of seeing the unaltered original trilogy films again.

Marvel's next film, Avengers: Endgame, premieres April 26.
