Director Sam Raimi Says Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man 4 is Now 'Possible'

Just when we thought Avengers: Endgame was the biggest MCU film, Marvel just beat their own record with last year's Spider-Man: No Way Home. The three-generation reunion of Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker completely left the fans exhilarated.

While No Way Home looks like a come-and-gone deal, many fans are wondering if they will see more of the former Spider-Mans in future MCU projects.

Following No Way Home, fans are now campaigning for Garfield's continuation of The Amazing Spider-Man 3 and Maguire's Spider-Man 4. But will it officially happen?

Thankfully, Maguire's Spider-Man director Sam Raimi finally addresses Tobey Maguire's future in the MCU.

In an interview with Fandango, Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness director Sam Raimi opens up on the possibilities of doing a Spider-Man 4 film with Tobey Maguire.

Raimi explained, "I've come to realize after making Doctor Strange that anything is possible, really anything in the Marvel universe, any team-ups. I love Tobey. I love Kirsten Dunst. I think all things are possible. I don't really have a story or a plan. I don't know if Marvel would be interested in that right now. I don't know what their thoughts are about that. I haven't really pursued that. But it sounds beautiful. Even if it wasn't a Spider-Man movie, I'd love to work with Tobey again, in a different role."

Well, this is a piece of good news for Marvel fans. Now that Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire are back in the MCU, Marvel can easily reunite the two in future projects. After all, Maguire is rumored to appear in the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel, reprising his role again as Spider-Man.

No Way Home's ending also hints that the two Peter Parkers could have more stories to unravel as they get back to their own now twisted universes. With the multiverse in mind, where anything is possible, we can certainly see more of Andrew and Tobey again in the future of the MCU.

While Marvel hasn't yet officially given a green light to Spider-Man 4, we can catch up on Sam Raimi's latest film, Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness, premiering in theaters on May 4.
