There is little doubt that fans have been waiting for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 for a long time. After all, the second season of the anime is set to adapt the manga's Entertainment District arc which poses a new challenge on Tanjiro Kamado and the rest of the Demon Slayer Corps. So when can we finally see the new story arc's premiere?
Demon Slayer Season 2: What Happens In the Entertainment District Arc?
The Entertainment District arc will send Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke on a new mission with a different Hashira. In the manga, the young Demon Slayers are sent to the Yoshiwara red-light district along with Tengen Uzui to investigate a dangerous new threat.
These chapters will be adapted starting with Season 2's eighth episode and will introduce the demon Daki, who has been working as a high-ranking courtesan.
When Is The Demon Slayer Season 2 Entertainment District Arc Release Date?
It has already been announced that Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 8, which is the start of the Entertainment District arc, will air in the first week of December. However, there have been concerns that this will be delayed as the second season faces a brief hiatus in late October.
The official Demon Slayer Twitter account announced that Episode 4 will not air on October 31 due to a special broadcast on the Japanese elections on Fuji TV. Instead, the fourth episode has been moved back to November 7, 2021.
But will this also delay the premiere of the Entertainment District arc? It looks like week-long delay of Demon Slayer Season 2 might not affect the schedule any further. However, this is still subject to possible changes in the upcoming weeks.
For now, Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 8 is still scheduled to premiere on December 5, 2021. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
The third episode of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 Episode 3 is titled If It's True. The new episode will premiere on October 24, 2021.
