Kevin Feige has proven time and time again that he has his finger on the pulse and in Phase Four alone, the Marvel Studios boss delivered fan service after fan service. One of the biggest surprises the studio gave fans is Charlie Cox's official entry to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Daredevil.

For years, the MCU status of the Defenders has remained unclear but Cox's debut as Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home pretty much sealed the deal. As for his co-stars, rumor has it that not everyone in the team will be given the chance to reprise their roles in the MCU.

Now, Mike Colter, who played Luke Cage in the hit Netflix show, as well as his own series is opening up about the possibility of him getting replaced as the fan-favorite Defender. Speaking with RadioTimes, Colter surprisingly revealed that he'd have no problem getting recast in the MCU despite Cox and D'Onofrio already crossing over to the billion-dollar franchise.

Colter explains: "I quite like doing other things. I appreciate the opportunity Luke Cage presented to me and it’s great, and I’m not saying that the doors closed completely because you never know and never say never. But I’m particularly involved in the projects that I’m doing now, I’m looking forward, never looking back."

He continued: "Whatever they do with that role, you know, Kevin Feige and the people at Marvel and Disney, they’ll do the right thing and fans will be happy about it and I’ll cheer for that person, if it’s a recast or whatever."

Personally speaking, I'd love for everyone to get a fair shot at becoming part of the MCU but of course, the ball is still in Marvel Studios' court. Let's just hope they're making the best creative decisions because frankly, the MCU's quality has drastically declined since Avengers: Endgame.

Speaking of the Defenders, Charlie Cox will return as the Man Without Fear in Daredevil: Born Again which is expected to release in Spring 2024
