We've been waiting since 2000 to see Hugh Jackman don Wolverine's comic-accurate suit but throughout his tenure in the now-defunct FoxVerse, the X-Men star was never given the opportunity to wear the iconic costume despite that massive tease from 2013's The Wolverine which obviously went nowhere.
Well, five years removed from his "retirement" as the claw-slashing mutant, the fandom was given renewed hope that the character will be presented more correctly, this time around in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Jackman gears up for his return as Logan.
When his involvement in Deadpool 3 was made official, fans quickly expressed their collective desire to finally see Jackman in Wolverine's iconic suit and while Marvel Studios are still keeping everything under wraps, it looks like we'll in fact see Wolverine in his definitive form in 2024.
Insider Daniel Richtman reports that current plans call for Wolverine to look comic-accurate in the third Deadpool film. According to Richtman, Hugh will be wearing the character's yellow suit but it wasn't disclosed if the costume is going to be based on his Uncanny X-Men look or Jim Lee's fan-favorite design which is often associated with Wolverine.

Of course, this no longer comes as a surprise, especially considering how Marvel Studios has always been huge on fan service. I, for one, am excited to see Jackman wear Wolverine's classic suit and the 24-year wait is definitely going to be worth it. I'm pretty stoked about this film!
