DC’s Legends of Tomorrow just landed with the finale of Season 7 with Episode 13, Knocked Down, Knocked Up, perfectly balancing setting up a possible Season 8 and closing the books of certain characters, does this mean that one of them reach their fixed point or had their time finally up. Is it really the end of the story of Nate a.k.a. Citizen Steel?

The finale of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Season 7, Episode 13, Knocked Down, Knocked Up, is definitely a feast to the fans and viewers of the show and while there is no confirmation yet for another season of the show, it perfectly sets up what happens next to the Legends as the Time Police arrived to arrest the Legends and Mike for time-related crimes.

However, one of them seems to be saying goodbye as Nate’s story ended right in front of everyone. During the battle, Nate made sure to save Alun, however, he got hit by the mustard gas and that resulted in him losing his ability to turn to steel. That same night, he is set to retire at the Wind Totem.

Actor Nick Zano portrays Nate Heywood, a historian turned superhero, Citizen Steel, and he arrived in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow in Season 2 where he got the power of turning his body into steel. With what happened in the finale of DC's Legends of Tomorrow Season 7, it seems that time is up for Nate and he has to hang his superhero costume for good.

In an interview with the series’ co-showrunner, Keto Shimizu, on TVLine, he said, "It felt like a natural way to end his run on the show. He began the show by gaining the superpower. It felt right that he say goodbye to it as he’s saying goodbye to the team."

With everything that has happened since the start, another character is set to say goodbye as Nate loses his power and retires. While Nate would not be around for good, the show has not yet been renewed but the finale already set up what could possibly happen next in the beloved series.
