Excitement is running high as we're only days away from the release of DC's Black Adam and while the Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson film initially lacked hype, the most recent rumors surrounding the project have given the project some much-needed attention.

Of course, most of you are probably aware by now that Henry Cavill is reportedly making his Superman comeback during the film's post-credits scene and according to reports, The Rock is very much responsible for the Man of Steel's return. Not only that but the multi-time WWE champion is said to be adamant about developing a Superman vs Black Adam project down the line.

Johnson has teased Cavill's involvement in the film on more than one occasion and it's safe to say that he has his finger on the pulse. However, some fans aren't exactly pleased with the actor's DCEU plans and if they had things their way, they'd rather see the franchise pick up where Zack Snyder's Justice League left off and that is the superhero team's anticipated clash with Darkseid.

Some even say that The Rock's ego is coming to play. What do you think? Check out some of the reactions below:

The problem is, we still don't know whether or not Zack Snyder's version of Justice League is actually considered canon in the DCEU, and despite the fact that Warner Bros. Discovery is now taking care of business, stripping former DC executives like Walter Hamada off their powers, it's not a clear indication that David Zaslav is a Snyder fanatic himself.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it all plays out because the true shift in the DCEU will be felt in the coming months.

DC's Black Adam hits cinemas on October 21.
