When Warner Bros. finally granted the years-long request of DC fans to finally see Zack Snyder's Justice League, hope was renewed within the fandom that it could lead to the director's full DCEU vision being realized after a back-and-forth turmoil between him and WB executives. Originally, Snyder intended to make Justice League a three-part film, and the Snyder Cut pretty much teased that there are more stories to tell.
However, this week, the studio seemingly hit the final nail in the coffin of the SnyderVerse movement. Rolling Stone published a report claiming the Snyder Cut movement only gained traction because of social media bots. Now, DC is shooting down a potential comeback for the director.
Making a panel appearance at San Diego Comic-Con, DC Chief Creative Officer-Publisher Jim Lee gave a discouraging update regarding the future of the SnyderVerse. According to him, while he was thrilled that Zack finally got to show fans his true cut of the film, WB has no plans of bringing him back or even expanding the universe he created.
Lee said: "I work on the projects that are in development. I think the SnyderCut was Zack's vision realized and it was a really satisfying story told, but there are no plans for work on that material. I was happy to help contribute to the pitch for the other stuff, and it was fun to see that stuff get out there cause I did that years ago. I actually thought it had been erased, but they had kept it in storage."

Despite the fact that the Warner Bros. Discovery merger is under new management, it turns out that it doesn't guarantee massive changes to happen to the DCEU and if anything, the WB of old will continue pushing what they've already established without Snyder's supervision.
Both versions of Zack Snyder's Justice League are streaming on HBO Max.
