DC's Black Label has been off to a good start, though the material released has mostly focused on Batman and Superman. Sure, we have a few Harley Quinn and Joker comics coming out but they are still extensions of Batman and Gotham. Sure, Wonder Woman comics were announced but very few of them have been updated since. Thankfully, we're finally getting one of them this December in Wonder Woman: Dead Earth and it's not your typical Wonder Woman story.
Announced by io9, Dead Earth will be written and illustrated by Murder Falcon creator Warren Johnson. This will be a comic where Wonder Woman protects the last few humans left on Earth after a nuclear war has killed most of mankind. Post-apocalyptic stories usually bring the worst out in humanity and creator Warren Johnson acknowledged this, with Diana having to witness some of this behavior.
Needless to say, this is going to be very interesting.

Here's what Johnson had to say about his Wonder Woman story:
She's always been an advocate for humanity, so seeing Diana deal with it at its worst should make this a must-read. While post-apocalyptic stories like this are nothing new, having said story center on Wonder Woman does add a degree of freshness to it. I might just pick this up.
Wonder Woman: Dead Earth will be coming out this December.
