Dawn has officially released a statement about his and HyunA’s breakup. But aside from confirming their split, the idol also warns to take legal action against the netizen who made a malicious post about his ex-girlfriend.
HyunA officially announced her breakup with Dawn in a post on Instagram. Someone then made foul stories about the 30-year-old star that angered the former Pentagon member.
Dawn Releases Statement about Breakup with HyunA
According to Soompi, the malicious post seemed to have come from Dawn’s Instagram. The netizen claimed that the former Wonder Girls member hid her past from him and even met up with other guys secretly when they were still together.
The unknown individual added that HyunA had a child, who she was hiding, after living with someone else in high school for a short time. She was even accused of opting for abortion.
In a statement, Dawn warned this person for saying false things about HyunA.

“Hello, this is DAWN. I won’t talk for long, but the following post is not written by me, and I will be taking legal action against the cowardly, dirty, and pitiful person who is spreading false information,” he said. “Even if we broke up, [HyunA] is still just as precious to me, more sincere and cool than anyone I’ve seen, and the artist I will continue to love most. Please don’t live like this and use your precious time in a good place.”
HyunA Announces Separation from Dawn
HyunA first announced her and Dawn’s breakup on November 30.
“We broke up,” she simply wrote.

She then revealed their decision to stay amicable despite the split and thanked their fans.
“We decided to remain as good friends and colleagues from now on.” she continued. “Thank you always for your support and for looking over us fondly.”
The Revelation of HyunA, Dawn’s Romance
As expected, many were surprised by the news of HyunA and Dawn’s breakup. The two were together for six years, starting their romance in 2016.
Their relationship was then made public in 2018, resulting in a backlash that led to the termination of their exclusive contracts with Cube Entertainment.

At the time, they revealed they were already together for two years, and they started to be close when Dawn joined her in her “Roll Deep” performance in 2015.
“We’ve been going out with each other for two years. We know this would result in some kind of labeling, but we thought it would be hard to look straight into the eyes of our fans (without being honest),” they said. “So, we decided to be honest with our loving and supporting fans and come to the stage with confidence.”
