Darth Vader's Helmet Is Back In Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker D23 Footage

It looks like a precious artifact will be returning to Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The latest footage from Episode IX that was unveiled at D23 Expo 2019 confirms that Kylo Ren has kept Darth Vader's helmet all this time.

The 10-second footage was screened at D23 during the Disney Legends panel and although it was brief, it confirmed that Kylo managed to salvage something truly important from Starkiller Base in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The footage shows Kylo opening a container that holds Vader's destroyed helmet. In addition to that, there are several glimpses at the heroes in The Rise of Skywalker.

Interestingly, one of the scenes once again shows Rey telling Finn that she needs to complete the mission on her own. "It's too dangerous, I have to go alone," she tells him. There are speculations that this scene will be from the third act of Episode IX where Rey needs to face Kylo.

It is still unclear if a new trailer will be released during D23. Fans are certainly hoping that there will be more new footage that will be unveiled at the event. In the meantime, we're crossing our fingers in hopes that we'll see more of the action in The Rise of Skywalker soon. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
