Daredevil Star Vincent D'Onofrio Wants Kingpin to Match With An MCU Hero

As fans are speculating that Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock/Daredevil will be making an appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home, there are also rumors that Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin will also be showing up in Hawkeye. None of these have been confirmed by Marvel Studios, but the rights of the characters from Netflix's Daredevil have been reverted back to the studio which means that they might show up in the MCU soon at some point.

Speaking recently with Jake Hamilton of Jake's Takes, D'Onofrio was asked about which MCU hero he would like to match that he hasn't faced yet. He answered, "It definitely has to be Spider-Man. I'm hoping. We'll see if they ask me to do it. My character, Kingpin, lives in a world of characters like Punisher, Daredevil, and Spider-Man. So that would be the one."

The actor is right, Kingpin is also a notable adversary of Spider-Man in the comics so it makes sense why he would like to match with him in the MCU if he would be given the opportunity. Although we did see Kingpin and Spider-Man match on the big screen before in the animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. There is no doubt that fans would love to see them go toe-to-toe in live-action and there is a possibility that we would see it happen in the future since Marvel Studios is allowed to use them.

There have been rumors that D'Onofrio's Kingpin is set to make an appearance in Hawkeye. The speculations were fueled when some fans noticed that the actor has been liking tweets related to the rumor on Twitter. The series is set to make its debut later this month so we will find out soon enough if we will see him make his official MCU debut.

Fans would definitely love to see D'Onofio reprise the role as his performance in Daredevil was praised by fans and critics. He would be a wonderful inclusion in the MCU for sure and, hopefully, we could see him go toe-to-toe with Tom Holland's Spider-Man.
