Daredevil Season 4 is Coming? Charlie Cox Knows "A Little Bit" About Marvel's Plans

Daredevil star Charlie Cox was finally able to talk about his brief cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home after holding the secret for months leading to the movie's release. The 39-year-old actor is hoping that his role as Matt Murdock/Daredevil will take him through at least the next 10 years of his professional acting career. Now, Cox confirms that he does know a "little bit" of what's next for Daredevil, but he's remaining silent about it.

Speaking to THR, Cox said, "Look, I don't have any idea what anyone's plans are at this stage, but I presume there's more for us to do".

The Daredevil star added: "I know a little bit — not a huge amount — but a little bit. I am imagining, I am hoping, that our worlds will collide again because the stuff we've done in the past was tremendous fun to do, and he's such an incredible actor. We have to start every conversation with, 'What do you know?' because you have to be careful. It's really exciting."

Cox was responding to a question about his continuing friendship with Daredevil co-star Vincent D'Onofrio, who plays the villainous Wilson Fisk/Kingpin. Vincent D'Onofrio said that doesn't have an idea when Wilson Fisk will return to the MCU after his surprising appearance in Disney+'s Hawkeye TV series.

Earlier this month, Cox talked about his Spider-Man: No Way Home cameo with HeyUGuys (via The Direct). He admitted that it was a "relief" to now be allowed to discuss his role as Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home: "It's a relief to be able to talk about it. Y'know, getting that phone call was a life-changing moment, really.... My involvement with that character and the MCU was dead and buried, I hadn't heard anything for a couple of years and so I'd moved on. It was incredibly unexpected and out of the blue."

Disney and Marvel haven't announced any plans for a new Daredevil project yet, but it was recently discovered that the Marvel shows on Netflix, which includes Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and The Defenders will only be available to stream on Netflix until Feb. 28, 2022. It's likely that these shows will move to Disney+, the current home of Marvel TV shows.
