Daniel Bruhl Confirms His Character Becomes Baron Zemo in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier

Fans who miss the over-the-top action and espionage of Captain America: The Winter Soldier are pretty happy that the Disney+ series, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, is happening. We'll see a number of characters returning from Winter Soldier and Civil War, with Daniel Bruhl confirmed as the series villain Zemo. Or should we say, Baron Zemo?

While we do know that the character is returning and wearing his iconic purple mask, it was Bruhl who confirmed that the villain won't just be using his real name; he will call himself Baron Zemo. That's pretty awesome news for fans of Captain America and Thunderbolts comics, where he tends to be prominent, so it will be interesting to see if they will keep him as a somewhat sympathetic character or make him an all-out villain.

How Zemo gets involved is going to be interesting, though many of us are going to assume that he somehow escapes and starts wreaking havoc across the US of A, hence the involvement of our sexy title characters. One way or another, it's going to be essential watching for us MCU fans since this is one of the official continuations of Endgame, the first of which was Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Though no release date has been given, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is currently slated for a late 2020 release.
