Star Wars fans are excited to see Billy Dee Williams make his way to the galaxy far, far away to reprise his role as Lando Calrissian in The Rise of Skywalker. And fans aren't alone about getting really hyped for the actor's return to the sequel trilogy.
Speaking with Filmfabrik, Daisy Ridley talked about the difference between filming The Force Awakens and The Rise of Skywalker, preparing lightsaber battles, and the film's overall story. At some point in the interview, the actress was asked whether she had a "perfect fangirl moment" while filming for Episode IX. Ridley almost immediately thought of an answer and revealed that it was "really cool" working with Billy Dee Williams and even mimicked the actor.
Ridley describing her fangirl moment means that Star Wars fans will get to see both Rey and Lando in the same scene in Episode IX, which I can tell, will be really epic.
Aside from that, the actress also admitted that she had fun filming with John Boyega, as well as with Oscar Isaac since they now have more scenes together in the film.
The actress also described how working with Adam Driver as Kylo Ren was both "fun" and "terrifying" when it comes to shooting lightsaber fights. That being said, Ridley admits that she tries to be comfortable in doing so, and eventually thinking that he could take Kylo Ren down. She also recalled a scene where Driver hit her fingers with a lightsaber in the process, but Ridley admits that she is "proud" of herself for carrying on with the shoot.
