Despite focusing on mental health, Daily Dose of Sunshine has some romance involved in its story. Since Da-Eun has a love triangle in the series, who does she end up with? Does her loyal best friend win at the end? Or does her budding relationship with a doctor take center stage?

In this explainer article, we'll talk about who manages to steal Da-Eun's heart at the end of Daily Dose of Sunshine.

Throughout the series, we see how the relationship between Jung Da-Eun (played by Park Bo-Young) and Dong Go-Geun (played by Yeon Woo-J

in) progresses. From sharing a bus together to getting acquainted in the hospital they work at, the exchange between the two characters has always been funny and sweet.

So it was only natural for Dr. Dong to develop feelings for her. He also has a funny exchange with his friend, Song Yu-Chan (played by Jang Dong-Yoon), when he discovers he has also been in love with Da-Eun for a long time already.

When he finally has the time to ask her out, however, things start to fall apart for the young nurse. Da-Eun's favorite patient, Kim Seo-Wan (played by Roh Jae-Won) kills himself by jumping off a building.

This destroys the sunshine in Da-Eun's personality as she tries to process her grief. Unfortunately, she starts to exhibit dissociative amnesia, which leads her to forget about Seo-Wan's death.

When she finally decides to take a break and mourn, it's already too late for her. She develops depression and doesn't believe she deserves to be admitted to a psychiatric ward until she recalls that she tried to kill herself.

Throughout Da-Eun's ordeal, however, Dr. Dong has stayed patient for her. He even helps get her the help she needs and gives her space to heal.

Meanwhile, Da-Eun's best friend, Yu-Chan, stood by her side. This was his way of apologizing for the harsh words he said when Da-Eun was at the height of her depressive state.

When she finally gets discharged, she tells Dr. Dong to give her space. He follows her request but doesn't stray too far from her.

When Da-Eun's condition gets exposed to the caretakers of patients under her care, Dr. Dong stands by Da-Eun's side. He even goes up to the hospital director and asks to pardon her.

Da-Eun sees the effort he has made, especially during her most fragile state. After this, she decides to let herself feel loved once again and agrees to go out with him.

Even though Yu-Chan does not get the girl at the end of Daily Dose of Sunshine, he does get a chance to return to the corporate world despite having a panic disorder.

In the first few instances, his panic disorder takes hold of him when he is unable to control his situation at work. But after realizing how important his mental health is, he decides to stand up for himself and enforce the clock-out time at his office.

Because of his confidence, his colleagues start to respect him more. This allows him to be at ease.

We hope that he can find romance if Daily Dose of Sunshine returns for a second season.
