The CW Sets Premiere Date for Superman & Lois Season 3 and Gotham Knights

The CW has announced the premiere date for the third season of Superman & Lois and the upcoming DC series Gotham Knights. They are set to bow on Tuesday, March 23, 2023 as revealed by Deadline with the former headlining at 8:00 pm while the new series airs shortly after at 9:00 pm.

The description of the third season of Superman & Lois, which will open weeks after the second season finale, reads: "Clark and Lois now are working at the Smallville Gazette together and enjoying small town life. But the Kents’ romantic bliss only shines a light on how isolating “the secret” can be, as Chrissy struggles to balance a new love interest and her friendship with Lois."

They also added, "However, Lois’ own work-life balance is put to the test when an undercover assignment reveals a deadly foe that promises to change the Kent family forever. Superman would move heaven and earth for his family, but with a villain this merciless, even that might not be enough."

It's also teased that the Kent boys will be pulled in "opposite directions" while John Henry will be haunted by his doppelgänger’s past that will lead to dangerous consequences for him and Natalie.

In addition, Lana Lang and Kyle will explore their family post-separation while Sarah "explores what the future holds for her and Jordan now that she knows the truth about his powers." As for General Lane, he will be reclaiming his post at the Department of Defense, but he will face his own conflict in working with Jordan.

Regarding the premise of the Gotham Knights series: "In the wake of Bruce Wayne's murder, his rebellious adopted son forges an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman's enemies when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader. And as the city's most wanted criminals, this renegade band of misfits must fight to clear their names."

They also added, "But in a Gotham with no Dark Knight to protect it, the city descends into the most dangerous it's ever been. However, hope comes from the most unexpected of places as this team of mismatched fugitives will become its next generation of saviors known as the Gotham Knights."

Despite the changes that are happening in both the DC franchise and The CW network, there are still some DC shows that we can look forward to airing early next year and it is great to hear that they have finally set a premiere date for them after months of waiting.
