Curious Chewbacca Easter Egg Spotted in The Final Rise of Skywalker Trailer

Monday saw the drop of the final trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and everyone online has been going crazy poring over every pixel of every frame to find clues and hints of what's to come. One of the shots has Rey and Kylo destroying what looks to be a statue with Vader's mask on it, but everyone missed something in the background.

Check it out:

If you look closely at the back, you can see that Chewbacca's bandolier and bowcaster are sitting in the back as if it were on display. Now, this is just me speculating, but what if Rey and Kylo Force jump through several points in time, and this part is the future, and this is some kind of Imperial museum with tokens and keepsakes from the Galactic Civil War. It would certainly explain why Vader's helmet would be on a pedestal. We've known for a while that Palpatine liked to collect trinkets and odd items, and the paneling on the back could very well mean it's an Imperial location.

It's also worth noting that some suspect that Rey is holding a Sith dagger; which she could have easily found if she was walking around Palpatine's old collection.

Of course, this is just me speculating. You'll actually find a shot of Chewie in the trailer without his bandolier, using a different gun. It's entirely possible that this could be something else entirely, but you can't blame fans for going crazy with their guesses.

Catch Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in theaters Dec. 20.
