J.B. Smoove, who plays the role of Leon Black, gave a major Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 12 update on Instagram Tuesday, November 8. The actor just revealed that the new season is now in the works with an NSFW video.
After rumors that Season 11 would be the series’ last, creator and led star Larry David announced Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 12 would come. Showrunner Jeff Schaffer backed the announcement with a revelation that the show’s writers were already working on the new season’s scripts, with a possible shooting schedule this fall.
J.B. Smoove’s Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 12 Update
Smoove’s video was taken from the show’s set, hinting at the beginning of the new season’s production.
He introduced some of the show’s major characters, from Jeff Garlin to Susie Essman and, of course, David, and then promoted his stand-up comedy tour, which ignited a “light-hearted spat” between him and David.
"Hey, it's ya man JB Smoove aka Leon Black in this b—," he said in the clip. He and David then started an exchange, with him saying, "Larry gets cussed the f—k out every day."

David then mocked him and said nobody would spend a nickel on his tour. With this banter, the two just hype the comical stints fans are about to see in Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 12.
Alternatively, Smoove wrote in the caption that Curb is back.
“I’m currently on set acting a fool with the incredible cast of @CurbYourEnthusiasm as we film season 12!!!” he continued. “F—k you, Larry!"

He also noted his comedy tour, which will be held in Washington, DC, on November 10 and in New York on November 11.
All About Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 12
As seen in the clip, Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 12 will bring back its principal characters.
David will reprise his role as himself, along with Garry as his manager and best friend, Jeff Greene, and Essman as his wife, Susie.

Of course, Smoove is back as Leon Black. The latter has moved in with Larry since the sixth season and has lived with him since then.
Based on Smoove’s clip, his character will still feature his hilarious antagonistic ways, which will be seen next season.
Other stars who will return in the season are Cheryl Hines, Ted Danson, Richard Lewis, and Vince Vaughn.
