Spider-Man: Far From Home is continuing the tradition that Homecoming started by giving Peter a fairly diverse class. We got to see a number of diverse classmates in the previous movie so it's good to know that Marvel is expanding on them a bit with new supporting character Brad, played by Crazy Rich Asians actor Remy Hii.
During an interview with Screen Rant, producer Eric Carroll said Brad will be an important part of the film's high school dynamics. Apparently, Brad will be a character that Peter and the others hate but not because he's a bully like Flash Thompson but because he's the kind of guy that makes the girls happy, resulting in a lot of jealous boys.
Here's how Carroll describes Brad:
This should make for some fun character moments, something that Spider-Man: Homecoming was missing. Granted, that film succeeded in giving us a classic Peter Parker story in the MCU, but the character could have suffered from his consequences more. Seems like Far From Home will be an improvement in that regard,
Spider-Man: Far From Home comes out on July 2.
